In this video I show you guys how to make a nice pretty and easy to keep planted aquarium with NO HARDSCAPE!!! Lot’s of you don’t have the cash to jump straight in with the full aquatic plants, woods, rocks and fish, so hopefully this setup can temp you into get a tank, some gravel, soil from your garden and a few plants. Important note, if you don’t have a cycled sponge for your filter like I had, either cycle the tank (a quick google will tell you how to do this) or change the water everyday and replace with dechlorinated tap water at the correct temperature. You will need to do this for at least 2 weeks and I’d strongly suggest adding beneficial bacteria as well. I use API Quick Start.
